Covid-19 Update

We hope that this communication finds our families healthy and safe while adjusting to our new normal.

As you can imagine, this situation is fluid and we are adjusting as fast as we can.
Like most aspects of all our daily lives, uncertainty abounds and for the vast majority, baseball/softball is just one more thing we’re taking a wait and see approach on. A couple people have reached out and we shared that the Board has been meeting behind the scenes to try to stay on top of all the changes. We wanted to share some of our thoughts with a broader audience.

We are a family run & independent league.  Our organization is not affiliated with Huron Valley Athletic Complex, nor the Huron Valley School District or Huron Valley Recreation.  While we are monitoring what those organizations are doing, our decision does not depend on what happens in their organization.  Our league is sanctioned by the Babe Ruth League.  As such we have looked to them for guidance on how to handle this situation - and in short - everyone is struggling to come up with a plan.  The Babe Ruth League Organization has left it up to the leagues to follow their State and Local Ordinance requirements. Each of us on the board of directors has a child (some more than one) who like yours wants desperately to get back to normal.  Our decision right now is to postpone the start of our season.  If this decision changes, we will communicate to the league accordingly.

This season we are again excited to partner with the Lakes Athletics Association & with other Softball leagues to provide inter-league games.  Those partnerships are vital to our season, and theirs, so we’re also coordinating with those partners.  While we are all parents and have been adjusting to our new stay-at-home rules, we are trying hard to put together some form of baseball and softball season. The current situation around social gatherings and activities is changing every 24 hours. Due to the fluidity of the situation, additional adjustments may need to be made to the season schedule. .

As of April 5th:
We know our goal is to have a season.
** We expect that season starting near the end of May or
June, depending on quarantine protocol and our work with partners.
** Our registration is still open and will continue to be open until a final decision is made.
** Register at  You can register without paying - simply click the pay by check option.

** We are still figuring out what the season will look like yet - how many games, etc
** We are still looking for concrete numbers for teams - registration is vital right now.
** We know that it is possible that your kid has grown from the original size.
** Email us at [email protected] if you want to change your childs uniform size.

nce the season is started, we expect it will be very flexible and fun - we know people go out of town in the summer and we’ll figure all of that out, together.  This is about getting the kids back outside with friends.

Because of this delay, we ask for our families to have some patience as we work tirelessly behind the scenes to work hard to provide our families with a baseball/softball season that none of us will forget.    We have already started working on this season behind the seasons by contracting with our groundskeeper and working to maintain our fields.  Cancellations and/or account credit for future seasons are still being discussed by the board in the event the season cannot be played.

Our season (whatever it may end up looking like) would not be possible without our Sponsors.  Our Sponsors this year include Hungry Howies Pizza, Colasantis and 5 Star (just to name a few).  All these family owned businesses also need your support during this trying time - we encourage you to support these establishments when you can.

We hope that our families continue to stay safe and healthy and we look forward to a great 2020 Season.
